How I started
i was reading “The Natural House” book in 1997 and learned of The Internationsl Institute of Bau-biologie and Ecology Institute in Florida. I called them and learned there was an Electric and Magnetic field training seminar the next week. I borrowed the money from my Mom and went to Florida. I was blown away! I had not done any of the pre
i was reading “The Natural House” book in 1997 and learned of The Internationsl Institute of Bau-biologie and Ecology Institute in Florida. I called them and learned there was an Electric and Magnetic field training seminar the next week. I borrowed the money from my Mom and went to Florida. I was blown away! I had not done any of the prepared reading but loved the class! It was about how we are exposed to Electric and Magnetic fields all around us, how to test for these fields, and how to mitigate them. I was way over my head, I repeated this seminar because it was so complicated, but it was the first time I was surrounded by a group of like-minded people! I had a husband and five kids that I loved desperately but I didn’t want to go home!

One of those evening classes we learned about earthing and grounding sheets! My first grounding sheet was a blue cloth with silver woven in. At a later seminar I purchased two mattress covers with copper woven in, that you grounded to an 8’ copper rod outside, to mitigate electric fields. I used one of these grounded mattress pads until 2013. I realized that the reason I did not need my glasses was because I was grounded! My body’s electrical system was now matching the Earth and my vision recovered! After a few days back in Colorado, I needed my glasses! I moved from my house to apartments so I did not use grounding rods outside any more. I checked with my eye Dr. to see if sea level made a difference and she said no. My vision recovered because I had been grounded!
I tried to do electric and magnetic field testing for an income but folks did not want to move their tv or alarm clock, etc.. They wanted to be healthy but not enough to make changes. I did have a couple times where I did make a positive change for folks!
I took 5 seminars at the Institute and was certified in testing and mitigating for Electric and Magnetic fields, as well as Water, Air and Mold. This was the only place in the United States where Bau-biologie was taught, brought over from Germany. I purchased the Home Study Course twice to become a Certified Bau-biologist but the translation from German to English was in the beginning phases and I did not complete it, but I am a Bau-biologist in my heart! I started Sustainable Living, LLC in 2018 with a passion for organic gardening as a side hustle, while I had been doing Office Management and Bookkeeping full-time for over 20 years. I ran my own bookkeeping service from 2006-2013, clients including three solar companies. I was hired by one of the solar companies and ended up at that solar company for 7 years. I was also able to submit proposals and had the highest commission for Remove and Reinstall solar for 2014 and 2015. In 2017 I changed to another solar company and did Inside Sales. This company eventually closed and I went back to bookkeeping. I had pulled a sciatica muscle, which took over a year of accupuncture to cure but by then my hip and knee and shin were inflammed. I was in terrible pain and could not sleep in my bed, havlong to use a cane and a walker. I found that Stephen Gundry’s Plant Paradox anti-inflammation program helped me lose 41 lbs and my inflammation was much better but I moved in with my son and did not maintain the food plan like I did when I lived alone. I was let go in 2024 from a non-profit. In 2025 I came across Clint Ober and the Earthing Movie! I had no idea we could ground to an electric outlet like I did to a rod outside much less that that it alleviated inflammation and pain! I bought a Universal Mat from his company and started grounding to an outlet on October 2nd, 2025. I switched to grounding to a rod outside as that is my favorite. That mat and those patches really alleviated my arthritis and hip pain. I am trying to work my way off the walker and my cane at the moment.
Now I promote the Earthing Products that have brought me such relief, hoping to help others be healthier by connecting to the earth and relieving their pain, along with the Tower Gardens, two types of Greenhouses and Dome Gardens soon, which I have always loved! Amazing that earthing and garden spaces go perfectly together because you can grow organic vegetables 365 days a year and be barefoot and get grounded no matter what the weather is outside!
I am adding Aquaponics and Solar shortly! Lets eat as close as possible to farm to table, no chemicals on our food, and connect to the Earth on a daily basis to maintain our health and keep inflammation at bay! Let‘s say goodbye to food insecurity and food deserts!
